Ask for a Free Quote Do you work with custom home builders?
Yes. We quote from drawings and specifications, coordinate with the site schedule and other trades, and provide WSIB clearance and insurance certificates. We also work directly with homeowners who are acting as their own general contractor.
What is the widest plank you will install over a large open floor?
We install engineered planks up to 10 inches or wider when the product and conditions are right. For solid hardwood, we usually recommend staying at 5 inches or under in large open rooms, because wide solid boards move more with the seasons.
Can hardwood go over radiant in-floor heat?
Engineered hardwood can, when the manufacturer approves it and the floor surface stays at or below about 27 degrees Celsius. We do not recommend solid hardwood over radiant heat.
